When I was studying the percentage of women architects in the UK was about 5%. Now its more like 15% though its dropped considerably in the last 18 months because more women than men architects have been made redundant. I wish it wasn't such a big thing too, yet we have come so far. Its 20 years since I began my training and then it would have been impossible for a woman to be elected president of the RIBA. drip.. drip... drip... Absolutely Jane.
