[UPDATE September 2012} You can still see all the Architects I follow on @ArchitectLeague and on my lists, but I’m encouraging them all to join the ArchitectMap, the new platform I’ve developed with Mark Schumann. We’ll be launching twitter secure sign in for everyone in the next few days, but you can see who is on the map and filter them now.
[UPDATE] Looking for just UK Architects and their Staff? Try the #AJtCn100 curated by me with the Architects Journal and the Construction Network. The list below covers everyone worldwide who has had an architectural education – not just the UK – and includes students and ex architects (yes, there really are some!). More guidance on twitter here.]
I’ve been collating a league of architects, practises and students (’emerging professionals’) on twitter for over two years now, and have amassed nearly 1400.
As well as having their own special Twitter account (@ArchitectLeague) they are also now hosted in a group on Peerindex:
Click through to the whole list on Peerindex here.
Read more about why I’ve moved the league to Peerindex and what I plan to do.
You can read more about the history of the Architects Twitter League by looking at the ‘Architects Twitter League‘ category of posts.
Disclaimer – These are architects or architects’ practices or architecture students on twitter. If your profile says you are an architect then I’ve assumed you are – unless I’ve noticed otherwise. The name ‘Architect’ is protected by statute in the UK. You should consult your governing body, etc etc.
If you contact any of these folks, do tell them I sent you, and please tweet about this list!
If you would like to be on the Architects Twitter League please follow @ArchitectLeague on Twitter and make sure your Twitter Profile shows what your role is – Architect, Intern, Practice Manager etc. The ArchitectLeague account follows all architects in the league, and from there I will add you to the list. I’d also be delighted if you would share with me your finds of new architects on twitter, and I always give credit.
I’m very happy to talk about the league and the use of twitter in the construction industry. If you would like to get in touch with me about the league, you can either contact me via twitter as above or use my contact form here.
An Update: List Leagues has also been discontinued so I’m on the search for another way to rank architects… but in the meantime you can see them on a map here: Architects who Tweet on a Map
