Here are some statistics for the first day of the project to find UK Architects, their practices and staff using Twitter.
The Nominations
We have had 75 nominations which split about half and half practice accounts and ‘person’ accounts. Although of course, all the accounts are run by people. Some people have been nominated twice, which is good. Most only once.
We’ve been saving the #AjtCn100 tweets on a TwapperKeeper archive (apologies for the name) which allows us to track back over them before they get lost. It isn’t 100% accurate but we think we’ve got everyone.
If you haven’t already, please nominate yourself or someone you know (or a company account you know). Nominate as many as you like. We are particularly grateful to @merlinfulcher who has nominated six accounts!
The Statistics
Over 300 tweets had been sent when I last looked, since we started measuring on 6th June. You can see some analysis via Microsoft’s Mix Online lab here.
The visualizations show a peak in tweeting on 6th June when we first blogged about the list, and there will be another for the 9 June launch when the statistics catch up, by the time you read this.
We are using TweetReach to measure the reach of the #AjtCn100 hashtag and at its peak this morning, the latest 50 tweets were reaching 60,000 impressions as scores of you shared the articles around with Retweets and comments.
The most popular link was that to the Architects Journal launch article which was clicked through 116 times by people in 15 countries, though 71% of click throughs were from computers hosted in the UK. (Source: )
At the end of the process we’ll gather a full report on how effective the campaign has been in spreading the word.
What you can do to help
Firstly, please nominate any UK architects you know on twitter, including people who work for them. All nominations are checked against the ARB register for name or company name.
Secondly, please share the #AjtCn100 hashtag around to help us reach as many architects and nominees as we can. We are finding some gems in the process.
And Thirdly, please join the rating service @Peerindex at Peerindex.net and encourage your nominees to join. This will enable them to get access to more of your statistics and give you the best possible rating before the list is published in July. You can sign in via twitter using their secure ‘O-Auth’ process using the button on the Peerindex homepage.
We’ll be reporting back again soon.

I would like to consider the opportunity of saying thanks to you for the professional advice I have constantly enjoyed browsing your site. We are looking forward to the commencement of my school research and the entire groundwork would never have been complete without coming to this site. If I might be of any assistance to others, I’d be happy to help via what I have learned from here.
